Art is the heart beat for expressing emotion, be it through canvas, camera lens, music, or words. As my class watched the cataclysm unfolding in Japan, they felt a need to send love to our brothers and sisters suffering across the sea. Haiku, a poetic gift from that exquisite country, was the way they expressed their thoughts.
