This is making the rounds on Facebook.
You click on the classics you have read to get your score.
It was a blast. My TBR list just expanded exponentially.
No fair counting books
you've only seen as movies.
Don't be intimidated by the term "classics." You'll see Charlotte's Web, Harry Potter, and lots of old favorites you read in school.

My score is 47.
Game on!
I only got 35- but there are a lot of books on the list that have been sitting on my TBR list for a while and some that I just added. Always interesting to see the books that make it on to these lists. Thanks for sharing and awesome job scoring nearly 50!

I haven't seen this! I haven't read many classics. I think I'd score a 1.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this yet. Like Julie, I don't read many classics so my score would probably be low.
ReplyDeleteYou beat me - but we're close! I had 45. I did start at least another 10 of them but they didn't work for me and I put them down :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this quiz yet. Off to take it,
ReplyDeleteIf only we could all win the lottery and luxuriate in more reading time!
ReplyDeleteI had a 43. There were a few I didn't click though because I've only read the first couple in the series and haven't completed it yet. Still, TONS of books to add to my TBR :) Fun quiz!!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna try this right now : )
ReplyDeleteI got 56. Why are those things so much fun? : )
ReplyDeleteOh, you did good. I got 28. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare + they showed Hamlet separate??? Doesn't seem fair! There were some I thought I'd read but wasn't sure, so I didn't click on them. Others, I'd read from that author but not that particular book. There are a few on the list that I've always meant to read. Now I should!
ReplyDeleteI got 40. Looks like I have some reading to do :) I own several of the ones on the list but just haven't read them yet.

I would flunk on this. My TBR pile is already out of control. It keeps glaring at me whenever I even CONSIDER adding to it. :P
ReplyDeleteThat was fun! 32 for me.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm off to play. 47, heh? Sounds impressive to me!
ReplyDeleteI got 52. But I fudge things a bit. I've read three other Dostoyevsky books, so just because I haven't read Crime and Punishment yet is no reason not to count it! But I guess I'm being picky because I find these lists so frustrating - they always change depending on who compiles them!

I got 46. I went on a classic reading frenzy in college, so I was able to check many of these.
ReplyDeleteI've read 59 ( I counted the complete works of Shakespeare though really I've only read about 2/3 of his plays) but I really don't see how they chose these books. There are some on the list I don't believe should be there. I know taste is subjective but I failed to see any kind of cohesive overarching reason for the books. They almost seem to be picked randomly.
ReplyDeleteI've read 62 and have to say, this is a weird list. There's several on it that I'll never read. And some classic authors I've read one of their books and that's enough thank you.
