Leslie is posting?
Whaaaaaaa?
It is not an illusion. This is a new post.
I hope no one dropped their laptop from shock when
they saw this post.
Don't get excited. It's a quicky.
I found this supa-cool link with supa-cool books for kids to read. Interesting to browse from both my teacher and writer perspectives.
It's from NPR - Do you think me classy and erudite?
Enjoy.

Just what is all this Common Core hoopla?
It's tough to post regularly, isn't it? I can relate. : )
ReplyDeleteI recently bought a book for a friend's toddler as a gift and I liked it so much I almost kept it for myself. : ) It was "for ages 3-8," so slightly below my reading level (lol), but just beautifully done.
Glad to see Jerry Spinelli's Maniac Magee on the list. It remains one of my favorite books.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a fun list! Too many that I haven't read yet, though. Love to see Anne of Green Gables on there. Kindred spirits!
ReplyDeleteI am surprised at how many of these I've read and it lists "The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles" by Julie Andrews!! I loved that book as a child!
ReplyDeleteNo one has ever heard of it but it's a fantastic story! So glad it's mentioned!!
Hope the year is going well for you! Best to the 5th grade!

That's a great list! I think I've read over half - but that leaves me a long list! Have to admit to not liking a couple of the ones I read, but for the most part I loved them! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you checked out Middle Shelf Magazine yet? http://issuu.com/shelfunbound/docs/middle_shelf_fall_2013
ReplyDeleteOh, that list brought back some wonderful memories! Lots of great books on there, and now I want to go re-read a few.
ReplyDeleteMaking a bookmark for holiday gifts! Thanks for the link, and hope life's treating you well :)
